shipping

EU orders can take 1 to 5 business days to arrive after the shipping date, which will be announced every time that my shop goes live. International orders can take up to a week or longer, depending on the circumstances.

Please be patient, this shop is run solely by me, I’m not a large business with a team of people, every order is packaged, labelled, and sent off myself.  To save time, studio space and costs, I pack and ship all the orders together approximately two to three weeks after my shop is restocked. Specific timelines and announcements can be found on my instagram page or by signing up to my newsletter.  I will always aim to have things sent out on the set date, but occasionally, due to events/timings/number of orders, it may take a few days before parcels are shipped out. If for any reason there are delays in sending work out from the studio I’ll be in touch.

When an item is dispatched from my studio for international shipping, it falls under the jurisdiction of the receiving country’s postage service and customs. In case of any issues such as loss, please contact both myself and the postage companies. All my pieces are shipped with FedEx insurance coverage. While I’ll make every effort to assist, unforeseen circumstances can occur. If something goes missing, contact me, and we can discuss options like a refund or sending out another order. Instances of breakage or missing items are handled on a case-by-case basis and are infrequent.

Orders shipped outside the EU are sent DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). The recipient is responsible for customs and import duties upon the parcel’s arrival in the destination country. I don’t have control over these charges and cannot provide the exact cost, as customs policies vary dramatically from country to country. It’s advisable to check with your local customs office for current charges before placing an order. If a parcel is returned to my studio due to unpaid customs charges, the customer bears full liability. Any refunds will be subject to deductions for postal charges, return shipment costs, customs charges, and handling fees.

returns and refunds

Returns are only accepted in the event that I mistakenly ship out the wrong items. If such a situation arises, please contact me, and I’ll rectify the order. However, please note that once the pots have been used, they cannot be refunded or exchanged due to their nature.

If your parcel hasn’t arrived a week after dispatch, please contact me immediately so that I can attempt to locate or resolve the issue. After 10 days, the chances of finding or correcting the situation are extraordinarily low. Shipping dates are scheduled to send several months’ production at once, and I cannot track each one individually to ensure correct delivery. Please note that I do not offer full refunds for inquiries made more than a month after the original dispatch date. A partial refund may be considered depending on the situation. Since it’s late, there’s virtually nothing I can do, as couriers typically don’t refund shipping or insurance a month or more after dispatch.

All my pieces are insured for the shipping. This safety measure is not optional nor negotiable. Some artworks may take full weeks to develop, and I can’t just let all that work and incomes on the hands of fate and carriers. This will cover the full price of the piece and delivery costs in case it arrived damaged or got lost. Provided that you reach me as soon as possible, so that I communicate with the shipping and insurance company before the insurance expires, to fully compensate your purchase.

In addition, some of my large and sculptural pieces may be sent in wooden boxes, which also adds to the shipping costs. All these measures are taken so that my work can arrive in perfect conditions to you.

caring for pieces

Handmade stoneware and porcelain ceramics, while vitrified at high temperatures, are more prone to chipping in comparison to mass-produced wares. While these items are designed for everyday use, it’s important to note that being artisanal, they require more careful handling than typical mass-produced ceramics.

Please handle your tableware with care, preferably washing them by hand. Avoid using strongly staining foods or liquids with these ceramics. It’s advisable to wash them promptly after use, and if possible, avoid leaving liquid in them overnight or for extended periods. For the same reason, it’s not recommended to use a microwave or dishwasher. While they are technically dishwasher and microwave safe, it’s best to hand wash handmade ceramics for optimal durability.

Variations in appearance may occur for items with a quantity option, as all my pots are handmade, resulting in subtle differences from one item to another. For pieces listed without a quantity option, they should closely resemble the pictured item.

Sculptural and merely decorative pieces may be glazed in a variety of ways, since their purpose is not that of tableware. Even when much more resistant to time than other art forms some ceramics might not be food safe, unless stated otherwise, may leach under acids or bases, or may be easy to scratch; some may be just delicate. Whatever the case may be, sculptural and decorative pieces are not meant to be washed with detergents or acids, hit, cut, microwaved, or improperly handled.

shop updates

My online shop is periodically restocked with substantial batches, and the timing is not fixed. Announcements regarding when new items will be available can be found on my instagram page or by signing up to my newsletter. For more precise information, feel free to reach out to me directly.
